Last Day in Damai Secondary (31/8)

Hey people, i have been very busy with my practicum lately that's why i did not blog for almost 3 months! paiseh! I had taken some photos in school on teachers' day. Quite a memorable last day in Damai Secondary!

This is my workplace!! Big right?? wahahaha...

Quite a cozy place and most importantly pple cant see what I am doing... hee:)

This is another part of my work place... haha. I like the big table and big cupboard... Stored lots of tidbits in that cupboard but didnt have time to eat cos i'm too busy to munch on them... :(

ALicia teaches biology and chemistry and I teach Physics and mathematics.

Luckily, i got Alicia in Damai or else i will be damn lonely. Haha... Really enjoyed your company and thanks for your encouragement during the practicum... Thanks gal!!

She is my Physics/Science CT, Mrs Ng. Really fortunate to be under her supervision cos i learnt lots of things from classroom management to teaching pedagogy. Thanks! Hope you will have a happy retirement!

My mathematics CT, Hwee Bin. A happy-go-lucky mother-to-be. She has been teaching in Damai for about 2 years.

Hope i didnt give her too much trouble for the class i took during the practicum. Had a difficult time to discipline her maths class, always like to bully me... Argh!!

Nasrul, A very nice guy who teaches the same Normal academic class as me. I always approach him for advice in managing that class and he is always willing to share tips with me! Thanks for your advice and encouragement.
I remembered you once told me not to be too angry and affected by what the students did cos they are still kids. I will always rememeber this! :)

I must say that Zaid is a very humorous person! haha I always feel happy when i see him... maybe his face can destress me! hahaha....

First Day of Practicum in Damai Sec

Previous night cant get to sleep... too worried on what kind of colleagues and students i will get for practicum. Haha.... but i think i am too paranoid le. The colleagues and principal are all very friendly. Feel very welcomed to the school! hee.... Didnt get to do observation in classroom but went for induction course today.

I am assigned to 3 classes: sec 1 express sci class, sec 1 express maths class & sec 3 Normal acad combined sci (phy) class. Not bad right?!! Hee.... Kinda look forward for the classroom observations on wed.... I will jia you!!!

Thanks for those who smsed me and encouraged me for the practicum. You know who u are!

NIE Maths Class Gathering 25 May 07

Finally the first semester in nie is over!! yay!! My maths class gathered at my place for BBQ. lol.. cool man. Quite slack during the bbq haha... too many people wanna helped out so i just sit back and relax lor.. wahahhahahaa.

Yay!! Finally moved out from the hostel le. I think is really a waste of money staying in the stupid lonely room cos most of the time either i go home or win's place. lol. too bored there leh... and i feel like an outcast. :( all my nie friends stay in hall 11 , only me in hall 14. Dunnoe how they arranged one... idiot! I definitely will not stay in the next sem lor. Took few photos before i leave. Hee :)

You may be thinking why i didnt take photos earlier when i just moved in. Haha i have a very gd reason lor. I scared i captured those "gd brothers" then dun dare to stay in the hall anymore. u know wat i mean right? I always got an eerie feeling when i look out of the window in the night. Wa lau... scary man! Oh well, i am always so damn paranoid sia.

Haha aniwae i hope my room will bring me some luck. I went to buy 4D. Hope will win some money back.... Hee

19 May 2007 GESL Activity at Changi Airport with NTPS.. Yeah!!

Finally, the GESL Activty is over after so much preparation!! And it was very successful!! very happy!! For those who dunnoe what is GESL, it is a nie module on service learning. As a group, we need to choose who to help in the society. Our group decided to help the New Town Primary School P1 students who are weaker in maths to develop more interest. We chose the Amazing race theme and the venue in the airport.

This was the group photo taken at the Changi Aiport after the activty!! It was an enjoyable event!! The kids are sooooo cute, haha but i dun think i am able to face them everyday. Too noisy and they keep asking questions one. lol. It was only a half day activty and i am dead tired after the event. My whole body was aching yesterday lor. Haha never exercise thats why... hee.

This is my group!! haha I dont know what group name to called so i just called it as Group 3 lor. Wahaha... this is my partner Lavania. The kids from left to right are Alhasan, Phannipa (haha very talkative gal), Huimei (another powerful talkative gal) and lastly ziwei. Haha and guess what... I am in charge of the two talkative gals! Phannipa & Huimei. I am just like their nanny lar, holding their hands and at the same time need to listen to the 2 gals talking at the same time. Wahaha... most of the time i dun really know what are they talking abt. So i just nod and smile to them. But i really like the 2 gals, very cute!! And Phannipa can speak chinese one.. hahah she's a chinese thai i think... cool right!

Aura Soma

Attended an Aura Soma Sharing session about few weeks ago. For those who dont know about Aura Soma, it is something like the "The Language of Colour" which helps a person to understand oneself even better. There are a total of 105 beautiful bottles of rainbow coloured oils made of some natural herbs which you can choose from. "You are the colours you choose". The colours you chose will reflect the needs that lie hidden within. Your colour choice will help you to recognise these needs at a deep level. haha sound cheem right?

In the sharing session, I only get to choose my first bottle called the actress (see below). I think it's rather true especially the potential challenge aspects. haha for those who know me inside out, you will feel that is very accurate lor. I think i am very sensitive to my own feelings but not to others. When people commented on me, i will brood over the issue for very long. I also prefer to stay behind the scene (my comfort zone) cos i dun dare to accept new challenges. The name of the bottle, the actress also reflects my personlaity. I like to hide my emotions from family. No matter how sad i am, i will try not to let them know that I am sad cos i dun wanna them to worry for me. Also, as a teacher i believe that there is also some form of acting involved... haha

On thurs 26 April night, i went to watch "200 pounds beauty" with Darling. Haha.. decided to reward myself after completing my Maths Lesson Plan. Wow!! I can tell you the show is damn good man! Thought the plot is simple but is very inspirational!! I am so touched by the Fat girl, Hanna. I cried in the cinema lor... can you imagining that! I recommend people to watch!! Haha the female and male leads are very handsome and chio also... Cool!!

Happy Day for my maths nie teacher!!

Yesterday was my Maths Teacher Mr Leong's happy day!! wahaha and also happy for me cos friday is a free day for me and my friends. His fourth baby boy is finally out!! hahaha
lesson ends at 730. Decided to go Yancao's place to play Mj !! happie!! won 20 smthing dollars... cool!!! we played till 2. cos my friends need to work... haha i 'm now at cao's place again. Will blog again soon cos my mj session gonna start le... tata

I am now at my bf 's place. Haha... Last minutue, Yan Cao (bf's buddy) with Jamie and darling came. They took me out from the lonely and horrible place, NIE. So lucky! Went to jackson's centre for dinner at 1130pm. Haha i've a powerful stomach. I dun feel hugry at all after my lunch at 230. Ate my favorite fried hokkien prawn noodles and wu xiang. Oiishi!! :)

Today quite happy, at least i feel that i didnt need to waste my time in Comm skills lesson. We are released after the email test. Hooray!! Haha went back to hall and do work lor. Wanted to go out but tired.

Oh yah, a dear friend of mine, Aaron told me that taking bus and taxi is not that eco friendly after all cos diesel is not as eco friendly as petrol. hahah.... heck care man. I just enjoy sleeping in public transport or maybe i can consider getting a bicycle but i cant sleep while cycling lei!! So Public transport still the BEST!! Wahahahahaha......

Okie enough of my rubbish.... good night. Need to go for GESL meeting . :(

First Posting in hostel...17 April 2007

Haha... manage to create my blog le! So happy! I wanna create my own blog for very long le but i dont have the time to do it. Actually 1 year ago, i had created it but i cant remember the username and password i register for it. So if you guys accidentally type qinmin.blogspot.com you will go to another blog set up by me think abt 1 year ago. So sad... i like qinmin instead of qinmintoh.

My darling went for his 2nd practical driving lesson today. Heard that he "die" car a few times but think this is very normal right for beginners. I think if i go drive i will "die" car many times lor. Haha.... but i think this might not happen cos i dun feel like learning leh. I am environmental friendly. I love taking public transport cos i enjoy being driven and most importantly i can sleep!!! wahahahaha......

Wanted to meet winston for dinner but too bad i am in stupid NIE and he's in town. I lazy to go down and find him lor and he also lazy to travel to Boon Lay. So in the end, he went to meet his female ex-collegue. :( I felt uncomfortable lor.... but who cares....... Life is like that man.

Today, quite pissed with my day in hostel. The corridor along my room is filled with flying insects and fat lizards lar.... damn irritating lor. Kenna scared by them when i go toilet. Then i have to run to another toilet which is free from at least flying insects. Luckily my room mate told me there is another toilet which is cleaner. Hai... but i still need to brave through the flying insects hurdle! sian :( Whats more shitty is the wall outside my room got a damn big and blacky SPIDER!!! ARGH!!! I hate spiders lar... so traumatise by all these stupid creatures outside my room. I even thought of taking cab back home lor but tml long day so decided to stay in the room. I will try not to drink too much water so that i can reduce the need to go toilet. Haha.. sound silly right? But I'm really damn scared lar...

Hai... I hate wednesday cos it is a long day for me (1030 - 630). But this is still not the main reason, i hate wed becos i hate the last lesson on wed- communications skills. Boring and useless lesson. For the past few weeks, i don't think i got learn anything lor. waste my time only. So many things to do man... sianz!! Argh!! but i still wanna blog... I got a classroom managemnet assignment which due this friday, next monday i need to hand up 1 major physics project and 1 physics group work, next thursday i need to hand up my lesson plan,.......... endless assignments..... lol cool right?!

Think will stop here for today.... need to continue my report writing. Tata.....
